Well, it is official. My Smaller Child is a ONE YEAR OLD. He is no longer the little mewing infant. He is a GIGANTOR cruising, pseudo-walking, sometimes talking, laughing, smiling ball of toddler happiness!
I can say this, for certain, it has been the very best year of my life. Smaller Child has completed our family in a way I cannot describe. While he is the smallest member (with the exception of Olivia the Wonderdog) he seems to carry the most weight. He never fails to lighten the mood, make us laugh, and entertain. He has his Brother wrapped around his finger, and his Mom and Dad are not far behind.
So, what have we learned in this year with our Little Man?
1. We make Viking children.
2. Larger Child is one grown up 6 year old.
3. A five year age spread between children is perfection.
4. Boys are a HECK of a lot of fun!
5. Knowing how to change a diaper is kind of like riding a bike.
6. Our family was always suppose to be a foursome.
7. Beautiful Bald Husband is without a doubt, hands down the best dad in the world.
8. Larger Child was absolutely meant to be a big brother.
9. It IS possible to love two children with your whole heart.
10.We live lives that are truly blessed beyond measure.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE MAN!! I am so proud to be your Mama, and so utterly grateful you are in my life.
